The fact that someone might have seen her with Whispers stunned her. Knowing that the police had a description matching hers caused her uneasiness. She had not been as meticulous as she had intended and her cheeks flushed with vexation.
A slight change of appearance would steer away any possible visual ties to the murder...of course she had only to confuse strangers: She was an unknown to most of those around her. She could imagine the 11 o'clock news..."She was so...quiet...wouldn't hurt a fly"...That's what they always said about the really good ones, the ones that were so adept at their craft...
