As the blood sprayed from Mother's neck, she glimpsed from the corner of her eye the group of bystanders outside the cell...but she barely heard the shouts and cries of disgust and horror...she must end what had begun. And so, as soon as Mother was on the padded cell floor, she began cracking the skull open with strong, determined and repeated blows, the sound absorbed by the walls around her. She stood over the corpse and squatted to retrieve her prize just as the cell doors were opened. A curious hush fell over the gathered crowd as she cradled Mother's knowledge in her hand...the hush turned to a gasp as she raised her prize to her mouth and began to consume the warm flesh, blood glazing her chin.
